Dead as a Fucking Doornail

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 29, 2006

It’s official. Saddam Hussein has met his maker. I was busy writing arrangements at the happy moment. I got the word about ten minutes ago, about a half hour after the fuckhole’s neck snapped at the end of the rope. I can’t wait to watch the video and see him twitch.

h/t to Wild Thing for the cat.

Justice has been served.

Now may he rest in as much peace as he deserves.

Happy Quiet New Year

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 28, 2006

I may be pretty quiet over the next few days, possibly including the New Year’s holiday. The weekend tour will take me into the area of our nation’s capital, with a possible last-minute booking for New Year’s at the Jersey Shore.

So, in case I don’t make it back to blog-land, here’s wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

Umm … maybe we can try an open thread … Also if anyone is using the “new” Blogger, please let me know what you think of it. I’ve been really leery of changing.

Hawk’s Advice to the President

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 20, 2006

In his Human Events column today, John Hawkins offers the President some advice:

The first rule of politics is to take care of your base first and then reach out to the middle. Unfortunately, Mr. President, you’ve egregiously broken that rule and allowed an antagonistic relationship to develop between your administration and a significant part of your base. Simply by repairing that rift, you can get your approval rating back up into the mid-forties and perhaps just as importantly, you can staunch the biting criticism from the right that has done so much damage to your presidency. There are a number of ways you can shore up your right flank.

OK. Fair enough. Let’s see what you have in mind.

A) Announce that you support splitting the security measures and amnesty parts of the senate bill into two parts. Then say you want to support security, the wall, and tough enforcement measures now and that you want to deal with the guest worker program and other “comprehensive” features that many members of your base find so odious later. By doing this, you can take the venom out of the illegal immigration argument by not holding secure borders hostage to an amnesty program, and yet you can still say that you support the other features that some Hispanic activists, liberals, and big business want.

This is an idea I have long supported, but haven’t heard put this way. Build the goddamned wall and get some security around here and THEN start talking about guest workers and whatnot. Good call, John.

B) Let it be known that you think that one of the messages that the American public was sending in 2006 was that they were tired of runaway spending and as a consequence, make a point of vetoing every bill the Democrats send your way that’s full of earmarks or new big government programs. Sure, this has never been one of your strong points, but the Democrats are bigger spenders than you’ve ever been and by keeping them in check, you can earn credit with the base and the American people.

The problem with this is that the President probably DOESN’T think the American public was sending that message at all. I doubt it myself. After all, if the problem is with runaway spending, who REALLY thinks they’d be better off with a Democrat?

C) The new media can help you reconnect with your base. Sit down with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and Fox News for interviews. They’ll be flattered that you got together with them and are likely to be particularly friendly. Moreover, you’ll be telling conservatives that, “Yes, I am still one of you and want to reach out to you,” just by showing up and making the effort.

This may get GW some brownie points, but without doing A and B, it’s likely to be futile.

2. Many of the American people feel like we’re treading water in Iraq. So, they’re lukewarm on continuing to risk the lives of our soldiers in an effort that they believe is just delaying the inevitable. In particular, there’s a distinct sense among conservatives that we’re fighting with one hand tied behind our back, that our soldiers are being strait-jacketed by ridiculous rules of engagement, and that we’re allowing Islamo-fascist thugs in Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia along with Sadr’s militia to take potshots at our troops with impunity. Moreover, Americans are looking at North Korea’s nuclear weapons, Iran building nuclear weapons, Hezbollah engineering a takeover of Lebanon, and the response of the United States has been….what exactly?

Zip. Zero. Nada. And don’t expect it to change for the better when the Donks get started next month. I think even Sage would back you here, John. If we’re going to fight a war, let our soldiers fight the goddamned war and be done with it. All this pussying around does is make us look like, well, a bunch of pussies.

n 2004, Americans thought they were voting for the guy who stood on top of a pile of rubble at the World Trade Center with a bullhorn and said, “I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!” What happened to that guy? What happened to the guy who said, “Every nation in every region now has a decision to make: Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists.” What happened to the guy whom the Europeans kept calling a “cowboy?” Where has that guy been since the election in 2004? The American people need to be shown that you’re still engaged, that you’re still determined to “bring our enemies to justice or bring justice to our enemies,” and that you’re still hellbent on doing whatever it takes to win the war in Iraq and the war on terrorism.

With the Donks taking over the House and Senate, this isn’t likely. Even if the President decides to get tough again, the Congress will stand in his way, if only to be able to hang him politically for “starting another Vietnam”.

The GOP has gotten in trouble on the domestic front for being “democrat light” on issues like spending, illegal immigration, and big government programs. So, when the Democrats take over, don’t hesitate to use your veto power and the soapbox that the presidency gives you when they veer off to the left. Draw some real distinctions between what we Republicans believe and what the Democrats believe.

Draw some distinctions. If you spend like a Donk, you might as well be a Donk. If you’re weak on security and play the role of socialst like a Donk, then again, you might as well be a Donk. The problem is that President Bush is too busy trying to get along (like his father before him) to stand up to the Donks and be a conservative. Well, that and he’s not conservative to begin with.

Also, please, please, Mr. President, start defending yourself. When prominent Democrats accuse you of lying to America, torturing prisoners, or screwing the middle-class, tear a chunk out of them every once in a while instead of letting them get away with slapping you around. Americans tend not to like extreme attacks on their President, but if they hear them day in and day out and you never respond, they start to get the idea that maybe you’re staying quiet because what they’re saying is true. Don’t let that continue to happen, Mr. President.

This has been a major problem in President Bush’s presidency from the getgo. The Donks attack, and he just bends over and takes it. He’d be in a lot better shape and may even be looking at a friendly Congress if he had done differently. The Donks stand up and defend themselves even if they have to lie to do it. Why can’t “our guy”?

I think Hawk is largely right on this one.

Coulter on Surrender

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 14, 2006

Ann Coulter has posted a gem today. It’s perfectly summarized at the end.

If absolutely nothing changed in Iraq over the next few years — if it didn’t continue to get better and if the savages never lost heart (I’m assuming they subscribe to “TimesSelect”) — by 2010, 6,000 brave American troops will have died to prevent another 9/11 terrorist attack on American soil for a decade.

If that’s a war Americans think we’re “losing,” Osama bin Laden was right: We are a paper tiger.

Go read the whole thing.

Have the Donks Gotten Wise?

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 12, 2006

Ol’ BC has posted a link to this article today.

At first glance, it would seem pretty encouraging that the Democrats would try to “wipe out” earmarks. Of course, if you read a little more closely, that’s not the case at all.

“I’m glad the Democrats are taking a time-out on pork-barrel spending,” said Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C. “It’s refreshing to hear them say they are going to reform the earmarking process to make it transparent and accountable.

In other words, there will still be mad earmarks. This policy is merely aimed at making the process more “transparent and accountable”.

I have news for you clowns on Capitol Hill: You nitwits should be doing away with ALL unconstitutional spending, regardless of whether it’s part of the original bill or a so-called “earmark”. What you’re doing here is mere smoke in mirrors. You’re still going to spend us into oblivion and tax us to death. What the fuck is the difference between that and what we have now? That we can acually SEE how deep and hard we’re being fucked? You morons have no shame.

Here’s the proof:

They said some of the money set aside in the pending bills for home- state earmarks will be shifted to programs Democrats feel have been shortchanged by Bush’s budget, such as health research, education and grants to local law enforcement agencies.

Congress does not have the power to do any of these things with American taxpayer money.

I think these idiots, Democrat and Republican alike, need to sit down and read the Constitution a few times. Maybe as a punishment we should have them copy it out by hand fifty times each. Do you think they might get the picture then?

Who knows?

Obama is a Shitweasel

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 11, 2006

HS BethW has put up a gem today. She trashed Barak the Schlock for saying the following:

He acknowledges that there are people who will not vote for him because of the colour of his skin, but as he points out, the same people would probably not vote for him because of his politics.

Mr. Obama, if these people would’t vote for you because of your politics, what the fuck does it matter what color your skin is? I, for one, and fucking fed up with these Democrats who want to paint Republicans and other conservatives with this racist brush. The Donks are the ones who oppress groups of people by giving them victim status and then seeking to keep them there with their stupid moronic, and fucking idiotic socialist progams that are not only unconstitutional, but would stand less of a chance than a snowball in hell of achieving their objective.

Hey Osama, how many times did you refuse to vote for a candidate because he was white or asian or jewish? Hmm? I’m not saying you did or didn’t, but it’s pretty fucking clear that you think and care about this shit a whole lot more than I do. For your fucking information, I’d probably fall all over myself to vote for J.C. Watts, especially over Hitlery’s sorry fat ass or, for that matter, yours. In fact, Watts would have my vote over just about any Democrat of any race or any religion. He’s a few thousand times better a candidate than you or your bitch friend from Chicago ArkansasNew York (“Oh yeah. I’ve ALWAYS loved the Yankees!” – if only the White Sox fans she grew up around would have known that, they could have saved us a heap of bullshit).

I’m going to let you in on a little secret, dickweed. Americans are SMART. That’s right asshole. They’re SMART. And they can tell when you’re trying to garner support for yourself based on your race. What you are really saying when you say the above is, “Hey look at me. I’m black! So vote for me because I’m black! Never mind my positions on issues. What’s important is that I’m black.”

That’s right Mr. OsamaObama, I’m accusing you of racism here on this blog. Blatant, transparent, inexcusable racism. You are a fucking racist pig, and you’re just as bad as any active member of the Ku Klux Klan. I defy you or anyone else to show me otherwise.

In the meantime, you can fuck off and go to hell.

Going MAD

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 11, 2006

Lady Heather recently brought up the fact that you just don’t see MAD Magazine on the newsstands any more. Well, you can find it if you know where to look. I found MAD #472 today and grabbed it for myself ($3.99 – CHEAP!).

I’m having a great time reading it. Here’s an excerpt:

The Answer MAD

For our latest installment of this wildly popular and fiercely involved feature, we turn to the pages of XXL magazine and answer one of their letters as it should be answered!

I just received my August issue, and I went straight to the Eye Candy. I must honestly say, Akira, you are a beautiful Black woman. And you do have a little junk in yo’ trunk. I hope you accomplish your future goals. But still, my beautiful Black queen Maliah is still holding it down for 2006 XXL Eye Candy from every angle.

B.J., Compton, CA

B.J. – We took the liberty of passing your letter on to Akira herself. turns out, she’s into you, too! Apparently, even though she’s a video girl and a professional model, you were the first one to ever notice she was attractive. Amazingly, one of her “future goals” is to date a creepy loser who sent her a love letter via a magazine. Your attention to detail and honesty have really paid off! We just hope Maliah can pick up the pieces of her life and move on! – Ed.

That’s some seriously funny shit!

You can check out MAD’s website here.

Cop Killer

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 10, 2006

This morning, I was surfing about and found this post over at Katey’s Cafe. We Phillyites are reminded of this case quite often, and after 25 years, it’s no less an abomination.

Police Officer Daniel J. Faulkner
Philadelphia Police Department
Pennsylvania
End of Watch: Wednesday, December 9, 1981

Biographical Info
Age: 25
Tour of Duty: 5 years
Badge Number: 4699

Incident Details
Cause of Death: Gunfire
Date of Incident: Wednesday, December 9, 1981
Weapon Used: Handgun; .38 caliber
Suspect Info: Convicted of murder

Officer Faulkner was shot and killed while making a traffic stop.

Officer Faulkner stopped the driver of a light blue Volkswagen at the corner of Thirteenth Street and Locust Street for driving the wrong way down a one-way street. Officer Faulkner had the driver exit the vehicle.

As Officer Faulkner was speaking with the driver, the driver struck Officer Faulkner in the face. Officer Faulkner struck the driver back and attempted to take him into custody. As Officer Faulkner was attempting to subdue the driver, the driver’s brother came running from a parking lot across the street from the spot where Officer Faulkner had the driver of the Volkswagen. While Officer Faulkner’s back was turned, the brother of the driver opened fire, striking Officer Faulkner in the back four times. Officer Faulkner fell to the ground, but was able to return fire, striking the suspect. The wounded suspect was able to fire again as he stood over the fallen officer, striking him in the face.

The suspect attempted to flee but fell to the ground several feet from where he had just shot Officer Faulkner. When back-up officers arrived they found Officer Faulkner mortally wounded and the suspect, murder weapon in hand, laying several feet away.

The suspect, who was a member of the racist group Black Panthers, was charged with murder. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in two separate trials. In December 2001 a federal judge overturned the death sentence and ordered a new sentencing hearing.

Officer Faulkner had served with the agency for 5 years. He is survived by his wife.

The Black Panthers was a racist, radical group that professed the murders of law enforcement officers. Members and former members of the group were responsible for the murders of at least 15 law enforcement officers and the wounding of dozens more across the nation.

So for stopping a driver who was driving the wrong way on a one-way street, this man was assaulted and murdered in cold blood. I’ve been stopped many times (heavy foot, ya know), but I’ve never seen any need to hit the cop.

This piece of shit was convicted in no less than TWO separate trials. At this point, there’s no arguing that he was innocent. He killed Officer Faulkner because he was white and because he was a police officer. This motive couldn’t be more clear, as he was a member of a known hate group with views and goals that rival those of the Ku Klux Klan. The guy’s a fucking bigot. Entitled to his view he is, but he has no justification to act upon them as he did. This traffic stop occurred because his brother was driving the wrong way on a one-way street. In Philadelphia, you can expect this. I was stopped in Philly 1989 for driving on the left side of the road (someone must have turned a one-way sign back at Chestnut Street where I turned). I didn’t hit the cop. I didn’t bitch at him or try to get out of it. I simply apologized and said that I was sure that I had seen a one-way sign where I turned. Had the officer chosen to cite me (he didn’t), he would have been completely justified in doing so, and I would not have hit him or made any waves.

This site has lots of 411 about the case:

Justice for Daniel Faulkner

I say fry the bastard.

Also look at this list, and take anything said or done by any of these people with a grain of salt. You may be surprised at who’s on it. Then again, you may not.

Passing the Gavel

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 9, 2006

This is on townhall today:

In its last hours of GOP control, Congress passed a raft of bills big and small, most significantly a sweeping bill reviving expired tax breaks, extending trade benefits for developing countries and protecting doctors from a big cut in Medicare payments.

Reviving tax breaks – good thing. Extending trade benefits – eh. Protecting Medicare – Might as well have had the Donks running the show on that one.

It’s stuff like “protecting Medicare” that makes people vote for the Donks. Why vote Republican when you can get the same result from a Democrat?

Final adjournment followed after the House and Senate cleared away a bevy of other legislation, including bills reauthorizing health research programs at the National Institutes of Health and an overhaul of fisheries management.

Again, nothing unique about Republicans on this. Again, might as well have Donks.

Now there are some good things in this article, the aforementioned tax breaks being one of them. There was enough backbone on domestic agencies that David Obey called it “a blatant admission of abject failure by the most useless Congress in modern times.” Obey has no clue. Will somebody please … PLEASE give this man a copy of the Constitution and hold a gun to his head as he reads it aloud from beginning to end? This bullshit has got to stop. Don’t forget that this man’s party is coming INTO power, not leaving.

Still, with Republicans largely voting in favor of the same socialism the Donks advocate, is it really any surprise that they’re stepping aside? Seriously, if the minority favors the same stuff that the majority does, doesn’t that make the minority just a bunch of de facto members of the majority?

I urge the Republican Party to delve deeply into the Constitution while serving in the minority. Be tough and loud about every single violation this congress commits. Resolve to never be like these socialist Democrats again, and deliver.

Then watch the voters come back, along with the gavel.

RWRiting Songs Instead of Posts

Posted by RightWingRocker on December 1, 2006

A positive by-product of extreme stress is an interesting increase in expressive creativity.  It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced the kind of stress I have lately, and consequently, a long time since I’ve had such a visit from the muse (that creative spirit from which musicians derive inspiration).

I’ve been quite quiet over the past few days largely because of the stress and depression I’ve been experiencing, but also because the muse has called.  I’ve been under her power and have been working on the resulting song.  I’m sure this will take up most of my time over the weekend, so you may just have to hope to see me on the blogs where I comment, as I will likely not have time to post here for a few days more.

So it’s true that behind every cloud is a silver lining.  Now I just have to figure out how to detach it.
