Franny Ward – Part One

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 30, 2006

In this comment thread over at Katey’s Cafe, I found an interesting confrontation directed at me:

P.S. Q: RightwingRocker, are you for real? I am not a fan of the Clintons or Democrats in general, but Ann Coulter? Bill O’ liely? These two idots are nothing more than well paid blathermouths for the Chimp.
Franny Ward | Homepage | 09.29.06 – 10:00 am | #

I responded with a short but simple reply:

They’re actually both right a whole lot more often than idiots who go around calling the President “the Chimp”.RWR
RightWingRocker | Homepage | 09.30.06 – 4:56 pm | #

Which, of course, is true. I doubt Franny was speaking the truth when she said she wasn’t a fan of the Clintons or of Democrats in general, because “the Chimp” is a reference that comes primarily from Kos and DU, sites that could drown people in the Kool-Aid.

Of course, it’s highly doubtful Franny even knows anything about Coulter or O’Reilly, as both disagree with the President quite often. But what of my assertion that they’re usually right? Let’s see, shall we? First, the lovely (though grotesquely skinny) Ann Coulter

September 27, 2006It’s just like old times. Bill Clinton delivers an impassioned speech, and within 24 hours the Web is bristling with documentation, establishing that nearly every sentence was a lie.

Too bad the Web wasn’t around during the Clinton years. We might have avoided the eight years of bullshit that we were subjected to.

The glassy-eyed Clinton cultists are insisting their idol’s on-air breakdown during a “Fox News Sunday” interview with Chris Wallace was a calculated performance, which is a bit like describing Hurricane Katrina as a “planned demolition.” Like an Osama tape, they claim he was sending a signal to Democrats to show them how to treat Republicans. Listen up, Democrats: Let’s energize the undecideds by throwing a hissy fit on national television!

There are even conservatives doing this. It’s not just the Kool-Aid drinkers. Coulter is right.

The Clintonian plan for action apparently entails inventing lunatic conspiracy theories, telling lots of lies, shouting, sneering, interrupting, and telling your interlocutor, “(Y)ou’ve got that little smirk on your face and you think you’re so clever” – all for asking a simple question. To wit: “Why didn’t you do more to put bin Laden and al-Qaida out of business when you were president?” The only thing Clinton forgot to say to Wallace was, “You’d better put some ice on that.”

Well, Clinton did tell lots of lies, shout, sneer, interrupt, and say everything that was quoted. Coulter is right again.

Let me be the first to welcome Chris Wallace to the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy! If the son of Mike Wallace is a member, can Chelsea be far behind?

Again, Chris Wallace has never been particularly conservative. Coulter is right again.

According to Wallace, Clinton’s aide, Jay Carson, demanded that the interview be stopped a few minutes into Clinton’s tantrum – just before the part where he threw the lamp at Wallace. The last time Clinton got that red in the face, the encounter ended with a stained dress. Even Muslims thought Clinton overreacted. But the Clinton Kool-Aid drinkers tell us this was a masterfully planned set-piece by their leader.

Right again. Are we beginning to see a pattern here, Franny?

I also think Jessica Savitch’s slurred, incoherent broadcast on “NBC Nightly News” in October 1983 was intentional. Others say it was drug-addled breakdown that ended her career, but obviously Savitch intended to speak in garbled gibberish on air as a brilliantly executed prelude to her death in a ditch weeks later.

This is an illustration of Coulter’s point of view with regard to how stupid she thinks the idea that this was planned is. There’s nothing in this quote that she claims to be factual. It’s her absolutely BRILLIANT sarcasm at work – one of the many reasons people like her. Coulter continues on this pattern, reminding us that there are many silly things that people could say happened on purpose. Then she quotes a Clinton lie:

Clinton yelled at Wallace: “What did I do? What did I do? I worked hard to try to kill him. I authorized a finding for the CIA to kill him. We contracted with people to kill him. I got closer to killing him than anybody has gotten since.”

Clinton DID say that, so she rebutted:

This is so crazy it’s worthy of an Air America caller. Clinton has consistently misrepresented the presidential directive about political assassinations. Clinton did not order bin Laden assassinated. He did not even lift the ban on intelligence agencies attempting to assassinate bin Laden. What he did was lift the ban on political assassinations – provided that assassinating bin Laden was not the purpose of the mission. So if U.S. forces were engaged in an operation to capture bin Laden, but accidentally killed him, they would not be court-martialed.

Again, she’s 100% correct, unless, that is, someone can show that he did something more. I haven’t seen anything to that effect.

Clinton said, “All the right-wingers who now say I didn’t do enough said I did too much – same people.” As proof, he cites his humiliating withdrawal from Somalia, claiming, “They were all trying to get me to withdraw from Somalia in 1993 the next day after we were involved in ‘Black Hawk down,’ and I refused to do it.”He added, as if it mattered, “There is not a living soul in the world who thought that Osama bin Laden had anything to do with ‘Black Hawk down.'”

In fact, what Republicans objected to was Clinton’s transforming a U.N. mission in Somalia to prevent mass starvation into a much grander “nation-building” exercise – something the Democrats now hysterically support in Darfur and oppose in Iraq.

Right again. Clinton lies. Ann corrects the record. Looks to me like she’s doing America an important service.

Democrats long to see American mothers weeping for their sons lost in a foreign war, but only if the mission serves absolutely no national security objectives of the United States. If we are building a democracy in a country while also making America safer – such as in Iraq – Democrats oppose it with every fiber of their being.

There is more than ample evidence that this could be true. Just listen to the likes of John Murtha or the Sheehag sometime. These people are looked up to for their “courage” by Democrats everywhere, so yeah, I’d say that Ann definitely has a point, at the very least.

When Clinton’s “nation-building” in Somalia led to the brutal killing of 18 Americans, some of whose corpses were then dragged through the streets, Clinton did what the Democrats are currently demanding we do in Iraq: He cut and ran.

Republicans didn’t like that either, and it had nothing to do with whether it was al-Qaida we were running from. It could have been Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, al-Dawa or the Viet Cong. We ran, and the terrorists noticed.

Osama bin Laden told “ABC News” in 1998 that America’s humiliating retreat from Somalia emboldened his jihadists: “The youth were surprised at the low morale of the American soldiers and realized more than before that the American soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows ran in defeat.”If this is the message that Clinton is hoping to telegraph to the American people, I hope the voters are listening.

I hope they’re listening, too. I defy anyone to find ONE false statement in this piece, save from the obvious illustrative sarcasm, which was simply Ann demonstrating absurdity by being absurd.

I’ll deal with an O’Reilly article at a later date. In the meantime, enjoy!

Oliver Stone

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 29, 2006

… can go fuck himself. After five years of war defending his right to say the stupid shit he says, he spews this fecal matter:

“From Sept. 12 on, the incident (the attacks) was politicized and it has polarized the entire world,” said Stone. “It is a shame because it is a waste of energy to see that the entire world five years later is still convulsed in the grip of 9/11.

If the terrorists would just stop killing people, you fucking moron, no one would be convulsed in the grip of 9/11, or any other terrorist operation, for that matter. We didn’t choose this war. We’re fighting it because it’s the right thing to do. We’re fighting it so that these Islamofascist nutwads don’t get so powerful that they ultimately force us all into servitude.

“It’s a waste of energy away from things that do matter which is poverty, death, disease, the planet itself and fixing things in our own homes rather than fighting wars with others. Mr. Bush has set America back 10 years, maybe more.”

I wish he would set America back further than that. The amount of energy and money that’s been wasted on poverty, death, disease, and environmental hoaxes is a fucking joke. We’re better off fighting the terrorists. At least that’s constitutional.

“If there had been a better sense of preparation, if we had a leadership that was more mature,” he said. “We did not fight back in the same way that the British fought the IRA or the Spanish government fought the Basques here. Terrorism is a manageable action. It can be lived with,” said Stone.

If we had leadership that was more mature, a certain buddy of Oliver Stone’s might have done the right thing and gotten a motel room for his affair instead of doing it right in the Oval Office and disrespecting those who had come before him in the process.

I don’t need any more proof that this fuckup is a nutcase than the last two sentences of that quote. “Terrorism is a manageable action. It can be lived with.” Try telling that to the Pearl family and the families of those who were killed on September 11, 2001. Manageable action that can be lived with MY ASS.

“This war on Iraq is a disaster. I’m disgraced. I’m ashamed for my country,” he said. “I’m also ashamed that America has attacked itself with its constitutional breakdowns. I’m deeply ashamed.”

You’ve been watching too much CNN, Ollie. I can’t wait for Bryan’s blog to start up. You will be debunked on that point repeatedly. You are a disgrace.

Constitutional breakdowns? In one breath this guy is bitching about going after terrorists instead of expanding unconstitutional programs, and in the next he’s bitching about “constitutional breakdowns”. I guess he forgot that if more passengers on those planes were armed, the terrorists might have chosen another target.

Two words for Oliver Stone –

Watch his Eyebrows

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 26, 2006

Some years ago, during the Cinton years, a caller called in to the Rush Limbaugh radio program and suggested that it was possible to determine when Bill Clinton was lying – watch his eyebrows. When he puts his eyebrows up, he’s either lying or getting ready to.

Rush played several video clips on TV of Mr. Clinton and sure enough, lies and eyebrows seemed to come together pretty consistently. He did lie without putting his eyebrows up, but when the eyebrows were up, he was always lying.

This brings me to the ex-president’s recent rant on Fox News. Chris Wallace, hardly a conservatively biased reporter did a great job of hanging in there. But watch Clinton’s eyebrows during the interview. They’re up almost every time he speaks. What does that tell you?

A Peaceful Muslim Speaks Up

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 22, 2006

And speak up he does.

Mohammed speaks clearly and even cites quotes in the process.

I wish more people of his stripe would be more vocal. It would take away some of the terrorists’ momentum.

Evil and Inhuman

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 21, 2006

Am I the only one who sees the contradiction in this???

Christian churches in the Middle East are vandalized, a Catholic nun in Africa is killed and Muslims have demanded that the Pope convert to Islam – all because he read a quote from a medieval text that described Islam as “evil and inhuman.”

Well DUH!

Vandalizing churches – evil and inhuman.
Killing a nun in Africa because she’s Catholic – evil and inhuman.
Demanding that someone convert to a religion he/she doesn’t believe in – evil and inhuman.

A new group called “The sword of Islam” contacted reporters and said it had fired gunshots at a Christian church in the Middle East during a demonstration over the comments.

Christians outgrew this nonsense centuries ago. I don’t know about all Muslims, but it’s pretty clear to me that these Islamic terrorists are as EVIL and INHUMAN as it gets.

We want to make it clear that if the pope does not appear on TV and apologize for his comments, we will blow up all of Gaza’s churches,” the group said in a report.

Who’s evil and inhuman?

And now, a report in the Jerusalem Post said that Muslim religious leaders in the Gaza Strip are warning the pope that he must “accept” Islam if he wanted to live in peace.

You don’t see the Pope demanding that Mr. Ahmagaynutjob convert to Catholicism every time he makes a threatening remark towards the West. You don’t see Catholics going around vandalizing mosques every time some assholes plant bombs on planes. You don’t see Catholics murdering innocents in the name of Jesus every time a car bomb goes off in Iraq.

I pray for these terrorists. I pray for their speedy destruction in the name of people’s right to live and worship as they please. May God have mercy on their souls.

I pray in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

My Turn: Pope Benedict’s Comments on Islamic Terrorists

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 20, 2006

It seems a lot of people are taking turns at either attacking the Pope or defending him. I suppose I should put my two cents in as well.

First, it must be said that Pope Benedict is clearly the George Bush, Sr. of the papacy. He was elected to the papacy for the same reasons that Bush was elected President – he had served his excellent predecessor well, and was therefore the logical candidate to succeed him.

This does not mean that we can expect the exact same kind of pope in Benedict that we had with John Paul, just as we did not get the exact same kind of president in Bush as we had with Reagan. Some things would be the same, while others would be different. Some things might even be tragic, such as President Bush’s desire to kiss up to the Democrats in an effort to get along. It’s a shame his son didn’t learn from that mistake.

Pope John Paul attempted to make nice with the terrorists. They continued their malicious acts, using Israel’s presence in the region and US support thereof as their excuse. Therefore, as wonderful and successful as John Paul was in his papacy in general, he obviously failed in this one area. Nobody’s perfect, of course, but for Benny to not learn from this mistake in the wake of 9/11 and the continuation of Islamofascist terrorism after that day would be an even bigger mistake.

Of course there are peaceful Muslims in the world. Of course they should be outraged. But their outrage at Pope Benedict is misdirected. It is commonplace for Christians to denounce outrageous acts such as those crimes committed by rogue soldiers at Abu Graib, which were small-time compared to the downright heinous acts that these terrorists have commited. Where is the outrage coming from peaceful Muslims with regard to the car-bombs, suicide-bombings, hijackings, and beheadings?

All the Pope did was bring attention to the fact that the patterns of violence that these terrorists follow are not new, and that they date back to the days of that Byzantine Emperor that he quoted. For this, he has been lambasted by Muslims throughout the world, including those who consider themselves peaceful. Where is the corresponding outrage that should be directed to the terrorists, who are the ones actively participating in the carnage?

Again I ask – where was the outrage from peaceful Muslims at the Islamic terrorists who recently placed bombs in a plane bound for the US from England? Where was the outrage from peaceful Muslims at the Islamic terrorists who encouraged others to strap bombs to their belts and blow themselves up hoping to kill others in the process? Where was the outrage from peaceful Muslims at the Islamic terrorists who planted the car bomb that killed my former student? Where was the outrage from peaceful Muslims the last time an Islamic terrorist sliced off someone’s head with a sword and filmed it for all to see?

Where was the outrage from peaceful Muslims when nineteen Islamic terrorists hijacked four planes and crashed them into fields and buildings, killing nearly 3,000 Americans in the process?

I don’t know about you, but my memories of that day are filled with TV images of Muslims dancing in the streets. As far as the outrage from peaceful Muslims is concerned, I must have missed it.

If there is any outrage out there from peaceful Muslims against those committing these acts, it’s far too quiet for me to hear. Still, I hear plenty of outrage against the Pope, who only spoke a few words rightly calling attention to the terrorists’ intention to kill in the name of their religion, something Christians outgrew centuries ago. He didn’t put any bombs on any planes. He didn’t encourage anyone to commit suicide and try to take others along. He didn’t plant any car bombs. He didn’t cut anyone’s head off. He didn’t hijack any planes or encourage anyone to do so.

Seems to me any outrage against his Holiness is severely misplaced.

“Conservatives” Take Over in Sweden

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 18, 2006

The socialists have lost in Sweden.

Of course, what they have there is just a more intense version of what we have here, from a socialism standpoint. It was even said that Sweden was “a country that is essentially happy with its underlying big-government, high-tax system.”

Any country that is “essentially happy” with high taxes and big government is a VERY SICK country. Hopefully bringing a taste of less intrusive government will bring along the kind of prosperity that will show the Swedes that there is a better way.

A step in the right direction is a step in the right direction.

Moonbat Monitor Defends Benny

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 17, 2006

I had been doing a lot of thinking about the situation involving Benny and the terrorists, and had actually been considering a post on the matter.

Of course, Moonbat Monitor came through with the voice of reason in a post that was short, sweet, and right on the money.

Go read it.

Hopefully I’ll have a bit more time this week to blog, but I’m not counting my chickens. I’m definitely hoping to update the audio address and include some Chili Peppers …

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 16, 2006

Bill O’Reilly reports this week on the details released by the New York Times about the awful torture our soldiers are using to get information on terrorist activities.

Turns out they’re forcing them to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Real painful stuff. First of all, let me go on record as saying that if these guys can’t handle listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they’re bigger pussies than I had them pegged for. I don’t know about you, but if you put me in a cold room and put on some Chili Peppers, my initial reaction would be more along the lines of CRANK IT UP!

So this week we learn that not only are these barbarians a bunch of murderous animals, but they also have REALLY bad taste in music. Furthermore, they’re such fucking wimps that they’re willing to rat out their friends over their captors’ choice of music. Cut me a fucking break.

Imagine what would have happened if our guys had whipped out some old bad Quiet Riot recordings from the ’80s. I can only laugh at the prospect.

That must make me just such a sadistic bastard. Well boo-fucking-hoo. If this is what is being considered “torture”, by our enemies, what the fuck should we be calling any of the following?

Taking innocents hostage
Suicide bombings in civilian areas
Car bombings in civilian areas
Sticking electrified pokers up people’s ass

and, of course, the end-all-be-all of “humane” torture

Decapitation by sword without anasthesia

I think that if you put things into perspective, the Chili Peppers pale in comparison. Where’s the outrage at the torture methods used by the terrorists?

Syria Steps Up

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 12, 2006

… well sort of.

Townhall is quoting an AP article dated today:

Syrians Fight Off Attack on U.S. Embassy

OK so Syria defended the US Embassy in Damascus. Great. Whooppee-fucking-do.

I’ll believe they’re serious when they turn over the WMD that were sent there by Saddam Hussein just prior to the Iraq invasion.

I’m glad the terrorists were fended off, but I don’t see this as any major change in Syria’s position in the war. Syria will be dealt with appropriately for its crimes.

Comments on August

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 9, 2006

August was the RWRepublic’s best month ever traffic-wise. It was the second month with over 1,000 hits, and this would have been the case even if we hadn’t had that one day of nearly 200 hits.

Of course, I only look at traffic stats for entertainment purposes. It’s fun. At the same time, when there’s a really good month, it’s important to take time out and thank the people that helped make it possible – so here’s a hearty THANK YOU to anyone and everyone who has come around and read the wisdom that I post here.

I don’t necessarily expect September to be all that, actually. School has started, and the blogging time gets cut back significantly during this part of the year. I still hope to get the opportunity to post at least every other day, and maybe more. Unfortunately, posting comments on other blogs may have to be scaled back some. We’ll see as the school year plays out.

Rock on!

Hopefully I’ll have some energy to write about it soon.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq’s #2 Captured

Posted by RightWingRocker on September 4, 2006

The Iraqis got him. Ya know for a war that we’re losing, we’re getting a lot of the top guys (Saddam, Zarqawi, al-Saeedi).

I don’t take the position that the War on Terror will be easy. I never have. I’m one of those people who think we’d do better by being more aggressive and worrying less about collateral damage and civilian casualties. Still, Osama’s on the run, Zarqawi’s dead, Saddam is on trial, and this thug is locked up. Maybe not the quickest way to win a war, but if the slow road and the high road are getting us somewhere, then maybe we should be looking at the brighter side.

On the other hand, there’s still a lot to be done. Iran, Syria, and North Korea must be dealt with. Who knows who else will join the fight and on which side? No war is all rosy and sweet. Ask any soldier. That doesn’t mean that war should be avoided at all costs. Tyring to avoid war in the 1930s only made our enemy stronger. America must continue to do the right thing and fight this war with everything she’s got. At some point, she must face the truth and worry less about the lives of the innocent and more about the deaths of the guilty.

It is then that this war will be won.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this thug to justice. I only wish someone had just shot his sorry ass and been done with it.
